    2010
    • AUGUST
      • The exhibit of Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc., titled “The Wonderful World of Hyundai”, showcases a world of breakthrough fuel-efficient, and eco-friendly Innovations for Humanity at the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) at the World Trade Center Manila. Hyundai Motor Company’s ix-Metro, a Hybrid Electric Crossover Utility Vehicle, top-billed the roster of next generation vehicles of the Sonata, Grand Starex Limousine, Tucson, Santa Fe and Genesis Coupe shown to the motoring public at the 3rd PIMS.
        The ix-Metro is the fifth concept car for the Hyundai Namyang Design (HND) series and it’s inspired by the rich visual world of space travel. Its design adopts a triangular theme for a striking and imposing look. The ix-Metro is equipped with an eco-friendly, hybridized, petrol engine, and boasts of a pristine, high-technology interior with ice-blue lighting, like a futuristic spacecraft. As one of the highlights of Hyundai’s exhibit at the 3rd PIMS, the ix-Metro represents the infinite possibilities that Hyundai continues to explore in its pursuit of advancing mobility and putting harmony in the existence of man, machine, and the world.
      • “The Wonderful World of Hyundai” captured an image of an ecosystem from an advanced civilization inspired by The Pandora in James Cameron’s movie, Avatar. It came to life with a 3D audio-visual presentation of Hyundai’s environmental strides, captured in the heartwarming song, “What A Wonderful World.” Complimenting the digital environment was the grand ensemble of performers that graced Hyundai’s wonderful world, namely, Prima Ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde and Ballet Manila, young singing sensation Charlie Green, and world-class singer Lea Salonga, with soul-stirring music from the Filharmonica, conducted by no less than maestro Gerard Salonga.

      • The Hyundai Genesis Coupe and the Hyundai Grand Starex received two major distinctions in the sixth Annual C! Magazine Awards, emerging as the Editor’s Pick in the Sport Sedan/Coupe category and the Full Size People Carrier category, respectively. For the Genesis Coupe, it has won this category for the second consecutive year, while the Grand Starex, has won this category for 3 consecutive years since 2008.

      • HARI is Top 3 in the roster of 10 Most Outstanding Corporate Citizens of Makati. Based on 2009 tax records of the Office of the City Treasurer of Makati, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) has once again been adjudged as one of the Top Ten Taxpayers in Makati, highlighting the distributor’s commitment to uphold economic stability and shore up both business and community development in Makati. His Excellency, Jejomar C. Binay, Vice President-elect of the Republic of the Philippines, handed over the laurel wreath-inspired trophy­an ancient symbol of victory, to Ms. Fe Perez-Agudo, President and CEO of HARI, during the awarding ceremonies for the Top 10 Most Outstanding Corporate Citizens of Makati at the 340th Araw ng Makati (Foundation Day of Makati) Vin de Honor celebration held in Makati Shangri-La. HARI’s newest success is attributed to its strong work ethic and compliance in terms of paying its tax obligations to the City of Makati.
    • MAY-JUNE
      • HARI launches its local FIFA campaign, in support of Hyundai Motor Company’s (HMC) sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup games in South Africa. Titled “2010 Hyundai Next Generation Football Camp,” HARI partnered with the Manila Soccer Academy (MSA), a premier organization committed to furthering the development of soccer players here in the country, and organized a series of programs for budding Filipino football players, which include: Fantastic Fridays, a soccer camp for young soccer players aged 3 to 16, and the 2010 Hyundai Next Generation Manila Cup Football Festival, a friendly competition for young soccer players, and soccer teams hailing from various universities, communities, and organizations.
      • The Hyundai Car Wellness campaign, HARI’s exclusive program that advocates responsible motoring and road safety through proper car maintenance, is conducted at participating Hyundai dealerships nationwide. Boasting of five special after-sales packages and freebies such as free 21-point check-up and consultation, and generous discounts for repair and selected Hyundai Genuine parts and accessories, this yearly campaign is aimed at educating motorists on the benefits of proper vehicle care, using no less than Hyundai’s Best C.A.R.E., or Cordial, Accurate, Reliable, and Efficient and speedy Service.

      • HARI sustains upward momentum with growth of 95%, scores a 3-point victory by maintaining its Top 3 post in overall industry rankings based on year-to-date (y-t-d) sales reports from March to May 2010, and on the third month, posted significant growth rates in major categories.
    • APRIL
      • HARI reinforces its Top 3 ranking with growth of 100.5% based on April year-to-date sales reports.
      • Hyundai’s most advanced vehicle lineup composed of the all-new Sonata, all-new Tucson, Genesis Coupe, Grand Starex Limousine, and the refreshed Santa Fe model, is launched via the Hyundai Next Generation Media Test Drive held in Marinduque, boasting of the famous Bellarocca Island Resort and Spa as the event’s official residents for all test drive participants. It was the first time that an automotive company in the Philippines spearheaded an ambitious event at Bellarocca, which is renowned for its majestic Greece-inspired ambience and architecture.
      • HARI wins the 2009 Award of Excellence for outstanding distributor operations at the Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) Asia-Pacific Dealer Conference held in Macau, Hong Kong last April 12-15, 2010. In the same event, Hyundai Cebu, one of HARI’s Elite dealers, emerged as the 2009 Asia-Pacific Dealer of the Year, besting 260 dealers vying for the plum title. This is the second time that Hyundai Cebu won the Asia-Pacific Dealer of the Year award.

      • HARI moves up to Top 3 in total industry rankings, beating its March 2009 year-to-date record by 107.25%.
      • The Summer Motorist Roadside Assistance (SMRA) campaign of HARI is given a boost with a nationwide coverage of 21 service points all over the Philippines to ably assist motorists during their road trips. Now on its 8th year, the SMRA, in partnership with Pilipinas Shell, reinforces HARI’s advocacy for road safety and responsible motoring through Hyundai’s Best C.A.R.E. (Cordial, Accurate, Reliable, and Efficient and speedy) Service
    • FEBRUARY
      • HARI spearheads its first Dealer’s Conference for the year and the 2009 Dealer of the Year Awards at Shangri-La Boracay
      • HARI Foundation’s PRO Environment Campaign titled: “Together, We Can…For A Green Tomorrow” is launched via a tree-planting ceremony simultaneous with HARI’s Dealer’s Conference and Dealer of the Year Awards in Shangri-La Boracay. Through the tree-planting ceremony, HARI initially contributed 333 seedlings to rebuild part of the Yapak forest in Boracay, which is home to one of the island’s treasures, the flying foxes. The big goal of HARI’s PRO Environment Campaign is to plant 15,000 seedlings at strategic locations nationwide in partnership with the DENR, NGOs, and Hyundai dealerships.
      • The Tucson R eVGT variant is introduced in the market. The R eVGT is the 3rd generation CRDi diesel engine technology.
      • The refreshed model of the Santa Fe arrives and is introduced in the Philippine market.
    • JANUARY
      • HARI heralds its Next Generation campaign, featuring Hyundai’s newest breed of automobiles. The launch of the all-new Tucson in December 2009 serves as the pivotal first for HARI’s string of launches of Hyundai’s new family of cutting-edge automobiles.
      • HARI’s Next Generation campaign kicks off with the Omnipotent Tour, a nationwide mall display of the all-new Tucson Theta II model—the opening salvo of HARI for 2010.
      • The Omnipotent Gathering, an exclusive dealer’s preview of the all-new Tucson Theta II, is also launched to complement HARI’s Next Generation campaign, as well as the Omnipotent Tour. The event ran from January to February 2010 at selected Hyundai dealerships all over the country.

    2009
    • DECEMBER
      • HARI’s 2nd annual Hyundai Media Noche Choral Festival was held at the A. Venue Hall, Makati City last December 7. The choral group from the Philippine Daily Inquirer, aptly named the “Philippine Daily Inchoirer”, was hailed champion, while the choral groups from GMA Network, Inc. and “Speed” Magazine won the first runner-up and second runner-up honors, respectively.
      • HARI launched the all-new Tucson, which served as the highlight of the Hyundai Media Noche Choral Festival. The event was capped with a glittering show of pure energy highlighted by a performance from Gary Valenciano.
    • NOVEMBER
      • Hyundai Motor Company announced the winner of its first-ever Hyundai Marketing Excellence competition, and triumphantly, HARI bested 200 distributors from over 98 countries and was acclaimed for Marketing Excellence.
      • The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is named the 2009 Sports Sedan/Sports Car 2WD of the Year and also bagged a special award as the DMF Drift Best Handling Car at the 6th Annual Car of the Year – Philippines Awards.
    • OCTOBER
      • Hyundai sponsored a Meet and Greet ceremony to present the first batch of recipients of its scholarship grants from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Collage of Engineering.
      • The Hyundai Grand Starex was named the “Automobile of the Year” in the 2009 Autofocus People’s Choice Awards, an award-giving body that determines the Philippines’ most popular brands and models through a nationwide public poll. In the same awards night, the Hyundai Grand Starex was again distinguished as the “Full Size Van of the Year”, a distinction it has won for four years in a row. The Genesis Coupe won the people’s favor as the “Sports Car of the Year” as the Tucson was recognized as the “Compact SUV of the Year”. Also from the popular poll, first runner-up honors were given to the Hyundai i10 in the Compact Sedan category and the Santa Fe in the Mid-size SUV category.
      • HARI spearheaded its 4th National Sales Conference at the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park in Cavite.
    • SEPTEMBER
      • HARI launched the Hyundai Sagip Center a special car repair assistance and restoration program for customers whose Hyundai vehicles were damaged by the floods caused by Typhoon Ondoy. Free towing services as well as discounts on parts and labor for flood-affected Hyundai cars were made available from a selection of Sagip Packages to get vehicles roadworthy again. Hyundai Sagip hotlines were likewise created to provide customer assistance and manage schedules of service appointments within the dealer network.
      • HARI conducted the 3rd Parts Management and Skills Development Training Course, which focused on key aspects of managing parts departments, including inventory, marketing, customer service, strategic management, and strategic planning tools.
    • AUGUST
      • Hyundai celebrated the eighth anniversary of its inception with a Build Activity at the Gawad Kalinga site of Taguig City and a donation of a Hyundai Porter to the Gawad Kalinga, the 3rd unit since 2008, in fulfillment of its commitment to assist the GK in its operations.
      • The Hyundai Car Wellness campaign is again conducted at selected Hyundai dealerships. At present, this campaign has already been adopted by most Hyundai dealerships and is now part of their respective after-sales efforts.
    • JULY
      • Hyundai i10 1.1 GLS A/T, Hyundai Genesis Coupe, and the Hyundai Grand Starex VGT, received three major distinctions in the fifth Annual C! Magazine Awards, emerging as the Editor’s Pick in the Mini Compact category, Sport Sedan/Coupe category and Full Size People Carrier category, respectively.
      • HARI launched the all-new H-100 via a nationwide mall display, which ran from July to August 2009. An all-new upgrade from the previous Porter all-purpose multi-cab model, the H-100 is the new face of mobility for today’s dynamic business landscape. It has bold styling and solid quality built in to motivate the Filipino businessman 100% in driving his entrepreneurial ambitions to greater heights.
    • JUNE
      • HARI was awarded as one of Makati’s Ten Outstanding Corporate Citizens for 2009 during the 339th Araw ng Makati Vin de Honor Reception.
      • HARI received double distinctions as Asia-Pacific Distributor of the Year and 2008 Best DEP Awardee during the Hyundai Motor Global Distributor Conference Awarding Ceremonies in South Korea. The Award of Excellence marks the third time that HARI receives regional recognition in a span of only four years.
      • HARI inked Memorandum of Agreement with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines for 20 scholarship grants to provide educational opportunities and enriching learning experiences to academic achievers who are financially challenged.
    • MAY
      • In response to Hyundai’s global advocacy for road safety and responsible motoring, HARI launched the Hyundai Car Wellness campaign. A nationwide after-sales support for motorists, which ran from May to June 2009, this campaign helped enlighten motorists on the benefits of proper car maintenance so they can get the most out of their car’s performance. With its signature Best C.A.R.E., or Cordial, Accurate, Reliable, and Efficient and speedy service and Genuine Hyundai parts, and utilizing Shell’s quality motor oil products, HARI afforded customers and motorists five Best Care packages to keep their cars fully prepped for the journey ahead. The Best Care packages offered exclusive discounts on labor and selected Genuine Hyundai parts.
    • APRIL
      • HARI received 2008 Recognition for Outstanding Performance in all areas of Distributor Operations at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, besting 11 other distributorships in the Asia Pacific region. The award was bestowed by HMC’s Overseas Service Group in recognition of HARI’s excellent performance in the most crucial areas of distributorship, which include organization, customer satisfaction, training, DEP evaluation and warranty.
    • MARCH
      • HARI concluded the Philippine leg of the Hyundai World Golf Championship with the selection of the three-man team of Mr. Rodel Mangulabnan from North Luzon, Mr. Bernard Paquin and Mr. Dante Torres, both from Mindanao, the best-non-professional golfers to represent the Philippines in the World Finals of Hyundai’s first ever World Golf Championship.
      • Mr. Rodel Mangulabnan finished fifth in the international finals of the Hyundai World Golf Championship at the Haevichi Resort, Jeju Island, Korea.
    • FEBRUARY
      • The Genesis Coupe, Hyundai’s hottest and newest addition to its family of automobiles was formally introduced to the media and the motoring public.
      • HARI moved its national headquarters to the KPMG Center along Ayala Avenue, Makati City.
      • In celebration of HARI’s big move to Ayala Avenue, Makati City, HARI’s Invasion mall-wide campaign is refreshed as Invasion 2.1. A campaign directed at giving customers and motorists alike, the delight and prestige of owning a Hyundai and being privileged to HARI’s signature Best C.A.R.E., or Cordial, Accurate, Reliable, and Efficient and speedy service, the Invasion 2.1 served as HARI’s first big event for 2009 that offered big savings, discounts, service packages, prizes, and other surprises to the motoring public. The event presented an ensemble of the best Hyundai cars and exclusive privileges for motorists and Hyundai car buyers. The campaign ran from February to March 2009.

      • The Hyundai Grand Starex and the the Hyundai Santa Fe is distinguished as the Full Size Van of the Year and the Mid-Size SUV of the Year, respectively, at the 2008 Autofocus People’s Choice Awards.
        The Hyundai i10 is named as the 2008 Best Value for Money Car, a Media Choice Award, at the 2008 Autofocus People’s Choice Awards.
      • The Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Tucson earn first runner awards as the Compact Car of the Year and Compact SUV of the Year, respectively, in the 2008 Autofocus People’s Choice Awards.
    • NOVEMBER
      • Hyundai i30 is named 2008 Compact Car of the Year during the Car of the Year Awards-Philippines (COTY-P).
      • HARI is awarded with the Best in Media Launch and Speedlab’s Tuner’s Choice Award during COTY-P
      • HARI launches the first-ever Media Noche Choral Festival, a thanksgiving blowout for HARI’s media partners and a unique event that also brought good tidings to society’s underprivileged with a donation by HARI and selected dealerships to the favorite charity of the choral festival’s Grand Champion.
    • AUGUST
      • Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) appoints two more dealers, Hyundai Santiago and Hyundai Baliuag, increasing its network to 33 dealerships nationwide.
      • HARI launches the i10, i30 and the Genesis during the 2nd Philippine International Motor Show at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
      • HARI sells 1,162 units in a single month, a first in the history of its distributorship.
    • JUNE/JULY
      • Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) establishes Hyundai Zamboanga enlarging its business ventures in the Mindanao region.
      • HARI launches the 100-Peso Challenge Amazing Accent Fuel Econo-run among Accent car owners.
    • MAY
      • HARI inks a deal with Asia Warranty Services Phils., Inc. (AWSPI), together with Federal Phoenix Assurance Co. (FPAC), to further HARI’s 5-Year Extended Warranty program thereby reinforcing its thrust towards total customer satisfaction and forwarding Hyundai’s benchmark of excellence in promoting the best customer care and Hyundai’s brand of engineering integrity.
      • With its aim to foster the values of entrepreneurship and empower the Filipino businessman, under its PRO Negosyo Movement, HARI launches the Porter Palengke Tour, a yearlong grassroots campaign that brings its initiatives to small-and-medium scale enterprises (SMEs).
    • APRIL
      • The Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Grand Starex tops the 4th C! Magazine Awards, emerging as the Editor’s Picks in the Compact SUV (7 seats) category and Full Size People Carrier category, respectively.
      • HARI deepens its commitment to the Gawad Kalinga (GK), renewing its ties as partners in nation building and forerunners of societal transformation, with its donation of two Hyundai Porter units to support the GK’s efforts in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

    • Hyundai Santa Fe is distinguished in C! Magazine’s 2007 Editors’ Picks as Compact 7-seat SUV of the Year.
    • DECEMBER
      • HARI acknowledges new set of dealers duly qualified as Hyundai Elite dealers: Hyundai Bacolod, Hyundai Cagayan de Oro, Hyundai Dagupan, Hyundai Global City and Hyundai Iloilo. This new set of dealers has brought the total of accredited Hyundai Elite to 16 dealers further enhancing HARI’s standing as the DEP capital of the Hyundai global community.
      • Hyundai Cebu, Inc. is the first provincial Hyundai dealer to win as Dealer of the Year and the first to sweep major departmental awards of excellence in Parts, After-Sales Service, and Vehicle Sales Operations during the Dealer of the Year Awards.
      • HARI registers record-breaking sales of 8,259 units, which translate to a 51.32% increment from HARI’s total vehicle sales of 5,458 units in 2006, continuing its stronghold as the Top 5 automotive brand in the country with a total capitalization of Php 100M as of December 31, 2007.
    • NOVEMBER
      • Grand Starex is showcased in its first nationwide debut titled “Legendary: The Grand Starex Exhibit”.
      • HARI hosts HMC’s National Sales Academy, featuring the Hyundai Grand Starex.
      • Grand Starex garners top honors as Car of the Year in the Luxury Van and MPV category during the Car of the Year Awards-Philippines (COTY-P).
      • HARI is honored with the Best Marketing Campaign Award during COTY-P for its prowess in formulating strategic campaigns in the marketing mix, which include its reinforcement of its SUV lineup; HARI’s introduction of the all-new Elantra; the launch of the Grand Starex at the first Philippine International Motor Show by CAMPI; HARI’s Deuce Royale Lifestyle Party, featuring the new generation Azera and Sonata; and the first nationwide debut of the Grand Starex at Legendary: The Grand Starex Exhibit.

      • HARI hosts the Deuce Royale Lifestyle Party, a Vegas-inspired revelry, featuring the new generation Hyundai Azera and Sonata.
      • HARI is bestowed an Award of Excellence by HMC and is named 2006 Asia-Pacific Distributor of the Year, earning for HARI its second consecutive win at this prestigious recognition.
      • At the 7th Hyundai Motor World Skill Olympics at Chonan, South Korea, HARI’s representatives bag the Excellent Skills Award.
      • Hyundai Marcos Highway is officially added into HARI’s family of dealerships.

      • HARI launches the Hyundai Grand Starex at the 1st Philippine International Motor Show
    • JUNE
      • HARI’s dealership operations in key business districts advances with its appointment of Hyundai Global City.
    • MAY
      • Hyundai Porter, a light commercial truck, is launched at the Autofocus People’s Choice Awards. Hyundai Porter, along with Starex Pro, makes up Hyundai’s portfolio in the entrepreneurial vehicle market.
      • HARI, with Hyundai Porter as its featured product, is partnered with Bayan Productions to host the first-ever business exhibit of Kabuhayang Swak na Swak, a top-rating business-oriented program of ABS-CBN Channel 2.
      • The Starex GRX CRDi once again bags the Autofocus People’s Choice Award for Full Size Van.
      • HARI hosts the Asia-Pacific Service and Quality Conference in Cebu, with an attendance of over 50 delegates from various countries in the region. Here, HMC emphasized its future strategies in the areas of service and quality.
      • HARI continues expansion in the province by adding the Hyundai Dasmariñas, Cavite dealership
    • APRIL
      • HARI graces the city of Manila with its appointment of Hyundai Manila Bay.
    • MARCH
      • HARI launches Veracruz CUV, Elantra and 2007 Coupe at the Manila International Autoshow.
    • FEBRUARY
      • HARI, in partnership with the Technology and Livelihood Resource Center (TLRC), the Philippines’ largest depository of various technologies for livelihood and business ventures, hosts TLRC’s pearl anniversary expo titled “Perlas ng Pangkabuhayang Pinoy”, featuring the Hyundai Starex PRO series
      • HARI receives the TLRC-SME-TLDC Gawad Parangal (Certificate of Recognition) during the 30th TLRC Anniversary and Entrepreneurs Congress, in appreciation of HARI’s contribution to uphold technology and livelihood programs through its partnership with TLRC and the Perlas ng Pangkabuhayang Pinoy 2007 program.

    • HARI is awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Bureau of Customs for its invaluable contribution in advancing the country’s collection performance as one of the Philippines’ Top 5 Importers.
    • DECEMBER
      • HARI is the first Hyundai distributor in the world to obtain the prestigious Hyundai Elite award as 10 of its dealers pass the Dealer Enhancement Program (D.E.P.) with a remarkable rate of 92%. This has earned HARI the moniker, “DEP Capital of the World”.
      • HARI caps the year with a resounding 10.8% sales growth, scooping a market share of 5.5% over last year’s 5.1%. From 6th post, HARI leaps one notch higher, wrapping up 2006 at Top 5 position.
      • To further its drive in advocating entrepreneurship in the country through the mobilization of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), HARI inks partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) headed by business magnate Jose A. Concepcion. The agreement highlights HARI’s sponsorship of various GoNegosyo Expositions and its contribution of two units of Starex PRO vehicles in support of PCE’s projects.
      • HARI’s expansion is heralded with the addition of two more dealerships: Hyundai Abad Santos and Hyundai Sucat Road.
    • NOVEMBER
      • Hyundai General Santos is welcomed in the HARI dealer community.
    • OCTOBER
      • HARI launches the PRO Negosyo movement, featuring the Starex PRO series, a progeny of the famed Starex family van. Through the PRO Negosyo movement, HARI aims to mobilize the business of Filipino entrepreneurs through quality and affordable Hyundai vehicles.
      • HARI adds Hyundai Lipa, Batangas to its roster of dealerships.
    • JULY
      • Hyundai Shaw Boulevard is added in HARI’s Metro Manila dealer network.
    • JUNE
      • Hyundai Laoag is added to HARI’s growing provincial dealer community.
    • APRIL
      • The Starex GRX CRDi bags the 2006 Autofocus People’s Choice Award for Full Size Van, beating Toyota Hi-Ace, Mitsubishi Space Gear, Ford Chateau Wagon, and Kia Pregio.
    • MARCH
      • HARI hosts the Hyundai Global Dealers Seminar at the Makati Shangri-La with over 200 delegates in attendance. HARI sweeps major awards:
        • 2005 Asia Pacific Distributor of the Year
        • 2005 Best Improved Market Share of the Year in the Asia Pacific
      • Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI) awards the Hyundai Getz with the 2005 Subcompact Car of the Year, topping popular brands such as Toyota Vios, Honda Jazz, Honda City, and Kia Picanto.
      • Hyundai Pasig is welcomed into the HARI dealer community.
    • FEBRUARY
      • HARI, through its socio-civic arm, the HARI Foundation, donates P2 Million to the Philippine government in support of the rehabilitation and reconstruction programs for southern Leyte, which has been previously ravaged by a massive landslide.
      • HARI further expands its dealership network by appointing Hyundai Otis and Hyundai San Pablo.

    • HARI is recognized by the Bureau of Customs as one of the 2005 top ten (10) importers from the private sector in terms of duties and taxes paid to the government.

      • HARI holds its 1st National Skills Olympics to enhance the after sales service capabilities of its dealer network.
